Service description

Unfilter is a browser-based tool that reduces color casts in images. It does not guarantee restoration of the exact original pixels or colors. The tool analyzes your image for dominant color biases such as green, yellow, blue, magenta, or faded tones, and applies adjustable correction to reduce those casts.

Browser-based processing

All image processing happens locally in your web browser using the Canvas API and JavaScript. Your images are never uploaded to a server or stored online. The quality and speed of processing depend on your device and browser.

Results may vary

The correction applied by Unfilter is algorithmic and may not produce perfect results for every image. Factors such as the original image quality, the type and strength of the applied filter, and the presence of non-color adjustments (such as cropping, overlays, or beauty filters) affect the outcome. Unfilter does not guarantee restoration of the exact original photo.

Supported formats and limits

Unfilter supports JPG, PNG, and WEBP image formats. The maximum file size is 10 MB. Images with extremely large dimensions may be downscaled for processing. Video, RAW, and animated image formats are not supported.

Prohibited use

You agree not to use Unfilter for any unlawful purpose, to process images that violate applicable laws or third-party rights, to attempt to reverse-engineer or extract the underlying algorithms, or to use automated tools to overload the service.

Intellectual property

The Unfilter tool, including its algorithms, user interface, and branding, is owned by Unfilter. You retain full ownership of the images you upload and process. Unfilter does not claim any rights over your images or their processed outputs.

Third-party analytics

Unfilter uses Plausible Analytics, a privacy-friendly analytics service, to understand how the tool is used. Plausible does not use cookies and does not collect personal data. For more information, see our Privacy Policy.

Limitation of liability

Unfilter is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Unfilter shall not be liable for any damages arising from the use of the tool, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of image quality, or any consequential damages.
