How Unfilter processes your images

Unfilter processes images entirely in your browser. When you upload a photo, your browser reads the file name and pixel data locally so it can process the image and name the downloaded file. Unfilter does not upload or store the image, file name, or pixel data on its servers.

All image processing uses the Canvas API and JavaScript running on your device. No image data is transmitted over the network at any point.

What your browser accesses locally

• The image file you select, including its pixel content, which is read by the Canvas API for color correction.
• The file name, which is used to generate the download file name (for example, unfiltered-photo.png).

These data stay on your device and are never sent to Unfilter or any third party.

Analytics

Unfilter uses Plausible Analytics, a privacy-friendly analytics service, to understand how the tool is used. Plausible does not use cookies, does not collect personal data, and does not track users across websites.

The data collected includes anonymous page views, referral sources, and browser type. This data does not include your images, file names, pixel data, or any information that could identify you personally.

What we do not collect

• We do not upload your images to any server.
• We do not store your images online.
• We do not require account creation or sign-in.
• We do not use cookies for tracking.
• We do not sell or share any data with third parties for advertising.

Cookies and local storage

Unfilter does not use cookies for tracking or advertising. The Plausible analytics script does not set any cookies. If local storage is used, it is only for maintaining application state during your session and is cleared when you close the tab.

Data retention

Your images are never stored on our servers. Anonymous analytics data provided by Plausible is retained in aggregated form to understand long-term usage trends. No individual user data is retained.

Supported formats

Unfilter supports JPG, PNG, and WEBP image formats. The maximum file size is 10 MB. The tool does not support video, RAW, or animated image formats.
